VW Beetle police car in the lot at the Norwell Police Station on River Rd. I stopped in on the way to the homestead to ask whether I could take a photo of their car. There were four police personnel inside the station. The officer who drives this car is 6'2" and 240 lbs. He has plenty of room in the vehicle. The Beetle is used for the D.A.R.E. program, and the young people love it. Looks like excellent public relations to me.

We had rain and fog for most of the morning. No good pictures were possible. I helped put out the "for sale" items, and made yellow price lists with Ginny.

Barbara examined all my original documents, and I have no gaps in lineage. I even had the original will of William Augustus Stetson. This was an item that I had never seen before I began looking for the documentation that is needed for membership.

The annual meeting went very well. We had had a buffet prepared by the Hilltop Steakhouse Chuck Wagon. The family photo had been taken at 11:30. We were settled down to business of the Kindred during the last year and into the future. Toward the end of the day, Ruth let me talk about this website so that members could see one small story from the reunion trip. The little web address cards were passed out to the group.

I had a good talk with Bob about digital cameras. I know almost nothing about them and still use my Pentax. But he is very up-to-date on how to manuver pictures around for printing in the Kindred Spirit.

Mike from Rhode Island seems to be a very close cousin. We don't have all the particulars worked out yet.

Later in the day Matt took me for a ride in Beau's truck. This was not done on public highways. With Nickolas along, we inspected the widening of the drive on the property.

I don't think Matt wanted to leave at the end of the day. Here he is sitting on the steps with his Stetson bag and a sad look.
